The saying "when you know, you know" has never been more true. Luke and I met about a year and a half before this picture was taken, but we had no idea we would be each other's forever then!

Fast forward to April 2024, Luke was visiting his family in Chattanooga for a birthday party. Funny enough, his cousin happened to be one of my best friends, Kara. She told me that weekend that she gave Luke my number because in her words, "that way you can become real family!" I thought she was crazy, and was shocked the next day that Luke texted me. We instantly hit it off, and never stopped talking since; then only two weeks later this picture was taken on our first date. We both knew on this day that this was it!

Only two days after our first date, I told Luke "I love you" for the first time. Yep... I said it first! I knew once I said it, he was going to be my husband but of course I didn't want him to know that and scare him off ha! But not even a second after I said it, he said it right back. He told me that day that he wanted to marry me, and has been wanting to tell me since our first date! We both felt crazy, but also knew that this is everything we had prayed for! In only a couple of weeks, God had brought us together and we knew that we wanted to share our lives with one another forever!

A little over 6 months later, we were in Honduras for a mission trip together. This is one of Luke's favorite places since he has such a big heart for mission work! One night we went to dinner on the beach, and to my surprise, Luke got down on one knee because he knows how much I love the ocean. It was truly the most beautiful and surreal moment that we will never forget and we will cherish for the rest of our lives :)
